In conjunction with the Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis, Catholic Night at Petco aims to live out the new evangelization Disciples Called to Witness in a public square.

Parishioners from across the diocese gather for Catholic Night at Petco, but the event's main purpose is to witness our faith in a public square and evangelize.

Are we often unaware that we are called to be Christ's witnesses to the world? Are we reaching out to our missing brothers and sisters by inviting them to Mass or by asking why they no longer feel welcome at Church? As baptized Christians, we are called to preach the Good News everywhere, to everyone, and at all times. The significance of being Christ's witness to the world is often overlooked.

Petco's Catholic Night helps people reconnect with the Catholic Church. Make an effort to invite someone today so they can meet and enjoy the diocese's family. We encourage everyone to invite their family and friends who have fallen away from the church. It may be impossible to get them to mass, but we can get them to a baseball game.
